Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how KING-KANE GROUP ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit king-kane-group.com or interact with any of our portfolio brands — Planet Drip, FlyDrip, Detour Global, Japan-ez, and Apex Underground (collectively, the "Services").

1. Who we are

KING-KANE GROUP is the data controller responsible for personal data processed through this website. You can contact us at privacy@king-kane-group.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Information you provide: name, email, message content when you submit the contact form, partner with us, or sign up to a brand newsletter.
  • Automatic information: IP address, device type, browser, referring URL, pages viewed, and interactions, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
  • Transactional information: if you purchase from a portfolio brand, we (or our payment processors) collect order details, billing/shipping address, and payment confirmation. We do not store full payment card numbers.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to inquiries, fulfil partnerships, and provide press materials.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Services.
  • To send transactional communications, and — where you've opted in — marketing communications.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Legal bases (UK / EU users)

We rely on the following lawful bases: performance of a contract, your consent, our legitimate interests (e.g. operating and improving the Services), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Sharing your information

We share personal data only with:

  • Service providers (hosting, analytics, email, payment processing) under data processing agreements.
  • Our portfolio brands, where you've engaged with them directly.
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety and property.
  • Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. Payment processing (Stripe)

All online payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (and its group affiliates) as an independent data controller for payment, fraud-prevention and regulatory purposes. When you check out, the card number, CVC, expiry and authentication data you enter are submitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection — we never see or store them. We do receive from Stripe a transaction reference, the last four digits and brand of the card, billing country, and the result of any fraud and 3-D Secure checks, which we use to fulfil your order, prevent fraud, handle refunds, and meet tax and accounting obligations.

Stripe processes this data under its own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.

6. International transfers

Some recipients may be located outside the UK / EEA. Where this is the case, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your data is protected.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability of your data, and object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@king-kane-group.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

9. Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your data.

10. Children

The Services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Services.
